Alcoa ratifies new USW labour deal at two US smelters
Alcoa has ratified a new four-year labour agreement with the United Steelworkers covering approximately 965 employees at its Warrick Operations in Indiana and Massena Operations in New York. The agreement was ratified by a wide margin and runs from May 16, 2026 through May 15, 2030.
The deal includes annual pay increases of at least 4% and raises the shift and schedule premium from 30 cents to 50 cents per hour — the first such increase in 325 years, according to the union’s Local 104. It comes the same day that UAW workers ratified a separate agreement with Dauch for almost 1,000 workers at an axle plant in Michigan.
