Spanish chemical logistics firm Baltransa has taken delivery of 25 Mercedes-Benz Actros 1846 LS trucks with ProCabin, specified to the highest possible standard for dangerous goods transport. The handover took place at Baltransa’s headquarters in Ciudad Real and reflects a partnership with Mercedes-Benz Trucks dating back to the company’s founding.

Baltransa, a family-owned firm with more than 70 years in chemical tanker transport, operates domestic facilities in Ciudad Real, Abrera and Pinto and serves multiple European markets. The 25 new vehicles, delivered by sales partner Eje Occidental, are equipped to the highest available specification under European dangerous goods transport regulations (ADR).

In a statement, José Luis Ruiz, Chief Executive of Baltransa, said: “Our new ProCabin vehicles are equipped with maximum comfort and the latest safety technology, enabling our drivers to carry out their demanding work under the best possible conditions.”

Each vehicle also integrates Mercedes-Benz Trucks’ digital services for connected vehicle monitoring, deployment planning and fuel consumption analysis. Standard safety equipment comprises Active Brake Assist 6 Plus, Active Sideguard Assist 3, Active Drive Assist 3, Front Guard Assist, Attention Assist 2 and Predictive Powertrain Control (PPC), with aerodynamic design contributing fuel savings of up to 3%.
