BYD Group staged eight vehicle debuts at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on 9 July 2026, with the Denza Z Coupe and Z Racing leading a showcase spanning BYD, Denza and Yangwang models. The group occupied a 2,016-square-metre stand across Goodwood’s First Glance area and Supercar Paddock.

The Denza Z Coupe and Z Racing received their global public debuts at the event. Both use a triple-motor configuration producing 1,604PS and 1,240 N•m of torque, delivering a 0–62mph time of 2.25 seconds in Coupe form. The Racing variant generates 1,060 kg of downforce at 217mph and recorded 1.96 seconds for the 0–62mph sprint on the Goodwood hill climb. The Z family was also the first vehicle in the UK to be demonstrated with BYD’s FLASH Charging system, which the company says achieves a 10–70% charge in five minutes.

Further debuts included the BYD Dolphin G DM-i, positioned as the sole plug-in hybrid in the supermini segment with a claimed combined range of 646 miles, and the BYD Shark pick-up, which demonstrated four-wheel-drive capability on a dedicated off-road course. The Denza BAO 5 made its first European appearance alongside the Shark.

Yangwang contributed three models, headlined by the U9 Xtreme hypercar. Producing over 3,000PS, it holds a claimed production car top-speed record of 308.3mph set in September 2025. The Yangwang U7 saloon and U8L luxury SUV completed the brand’s presence.
