CaoCao sets RoboX plan for robotaxi and robovan fleets
CaoCao launched its RoboX strategy in Hong Kong on 18 June 2026, setting out plans for an AI-led mobility platform covering robotaxis, robovans, robobuses and robotrucks. The Geely Holding Group-backed company said it plans to deploy 100,000 robotaxis and 100,000 robovans by 2030.
The strategy is built around autonomous driving, purpose-built vehicles and fleet operations. CaoCao said it will focus on Level 4 automated driving while developing operating systems and infrastructure for large-scale passenger and freight services.

The company said its Robo OS platform will support demand analysis, supply-demand matching and service delivery across autonomous mobility assets. The aim is to move beyond trial operations towards a network that can coordinate vehicles, users and AI agents at commercial scale.
CaoCao also announced a strategic partnership with Farizon Auto to support electric commercial vehicle applications, including the Shentong T6 robovan. It signed a framework agreement with Douyin Group covering AI-enabled mobility services and in-vehicle music recommendations.
Hong Kong will be the first market in CaoCao’s international RoboX rollout and will host the launch of its robotaxi business. The city will be used to test operating models for overseas expansion, placing the plan within a wider push by Chinese mobility firms to scale autonomous services beyond domestic demonstration projects.
