China’s export boom skips India’s growing EV market—for now
China's monthly passenger car exports exceeded one million units in June 2026—up 71.2% year-on-year, according to the National Bureau of Statistics of China. Collapsing domestic demand has encouraged OEMs to send large shipments of electric vehicles (EVs) to South America, Europe and Asia, but one place to which they're not flowing is India.
