John Cleworth

John Cleworth has been appointed Vice-President Product Performance at Dacia, effective September 1, 2026, joining the Dacia Management Committee. He succeeds Sandra Gomez, who has been appointed Chief Product and Programme Officer of Renault Group, and will report to Dacia Chief Executive Katrin Adt.

Cleworth brings more than 20 years of automotive industry experience accumulated within Renault Group, where he has held senior roles in product management, marketing, sales and revenue management. A graduate of ESSEC Business School, he was most recently Vice-President, Revenue Management and Launching Operations for the Renault brand, appointed to that role in 2025.

In that position, he was responsible for pricing strategy, brand experience and the launch of new vehicles, technologies and services. Prior to that, he led activities related to B2B sales, business development and carline management within the group.

Katrin Adt, Chief Executive of Dacia, highlighted Cleworth’s expertise in commercial operations and value management as key attributes behind the selection. She noted that his recognised ability to combine strategic vision with business performance was central to his appointment.

Dacia has sold more than 10 million vehicles since its relaunch in 2004. The Sandero has been the best-selling vehicle to European private customers every year since 2017 and the best-selling vehicle in Europe across all channels in 2024 and 2025.
