Ford offsets volume decline with higher profits per unit

Ford managed a 25% year-on-year increase in reported EBIT in Q2 2026, despite a 3.8% drop in revenue. However, disposition and dissolution of the BlueOval SK joint venture, finalised on May 2026, ate a US$3.6bn chunk out of the bottom line and was primarily responsible for dragging the company to a net loss of US$1.3bn.
