Geely has unveiled its 16-in-1 Intelligent E-Drive system at a launch event at InfiMotion’s headquarters in Wuxi on 16 July. The system, combining deep integration, high energy efficiency, and rigorous functional safety, will make its production debut in the Geely Galaxy TT series.

InfiMotion’s innovations for the system include Umini-pin winding, 0.2 mm silicon steel laminations, and three-level motor controller architecture. The firm has also established the group standard for amorphous material motors.

The system builds on a sequence of technical milestones: in 2024, InfiMotion became the first 400V platform to exceed 90% real-world operating efficiency with its 11-in-1 domain-controlled electric drive. In 2025, it launched a 900V magnesium-alloy coaxial electric drive delivering 5,200 Nm of peak torque at 77 kg.

Products meet ASPICE Level 3 and ASIL-D safety standards. Validation is performed at a nationally accredited testing centre with the world’s first 30,000 rpm motor test bench, covering –60 °C to 140 °C and 2,500-hour durability cycles.

In the first half of 2026, InfiMotion’s electric motor and motor controller volumes ranked among the global top three. The firm supplies electric drive solutions to Geely, Volvo, and Jaguar Land Rover.
