Infineum and Kangtai signed a distribution agreement across Southern Asia on 22 July 2026, giving Infineum’s regional distributors access to a broader product range. The deal marks the first operational step from the strategic framework agreement Infineum and Rianlon Corporation concluded in January 2026.

Under the arrangement, Infineum’s distributors will gain access to Kangtai’s products, broadening the solutions available to customers. Kangtai, a subsidiary of Rianlon, will in turn build regional presence through Infineum’s established distribution network.

The January framework centred on customer focus, technology, cost effectiveness, and supply security. Rianlon is also constructing a research, development and manufacturing facility in Johor, Malaysia, intended to strengthen Kangtai’s capacity to serve the region.

The deal reflects a wider pattern among Chinese speciality chemicals firms, which are building international reach through established distributors rather than entering markets directly. For Infineum, it extends the Southern Asia portfolio without the costs of developing new product lines.

Mavis Xian, General Manager of Kangtai, said the collaboration would accelerate the firm’s presence outside China and improve service to customers across the region. John Hong, Sales Director, Asia Pacific at Infineum, said the deal gives distributors access to a wider range of Kangtai’s components and industrial additives.
