MAN Truck & Bus has cut greenhouse gas emissions at its sites by 67.9% since 2019, approaching a Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) goal of a 70% reduction by 2030, its Sustainability Report 2025 shows. The group sold 1,970 fully electric vehicles in 2025, a 168% increase year on year, as it accelerates electrification across its commercial vehicle ranges.

MAN began series production of the battery-electric MAN eTGX and MAN eTGS at its Munich plant in 2025, selling more than 620 units. Electric bus sales rose 118% to more than 1,300 vehicles, with the MAN Lion’s Coach E set to reach European customers by end 2026.

Fleet greenhouse gas output per vehicle kilometre fell by 16% versus 2019 in the use phase, accounting for over 95% of MAN’s total greenhouse gas emissions. MAN targets a 28% reduction by 2030 and aims for fully electric vehicles at 40% of European sales in the same year.

This is how we make climate action measurable: in business operations, in the use phase, and along the value chain.”
