Nissan has launched the all-new Kicks compact SUV in Japan, with sales beginning on 18 June, featuring the third-generation e-POWER hybrid system for the first time in the Japanese market. The model also introduces e-4ORCE electric all-wheel control for the first time in the Kicks range, priced from JP¥3.0m (US$18,900).

The new powertrain centres on a 5-in-1 e-POWER unit that integrates the motor, generator, inverter, reducer and increaser into a single, lighter and more rigid module. Paired with a 1.4-litre dedicated engine for power generation, the system delivers improved fuel efficiency and quietness.

Exterior design takes inspiration from an American football helmet, with a wide grille and signature lighting, while the interior offers a dual 12.3-inch display and NissanConnect with Google. ProPILOT is standard across all grades, with an enhanced Intelligent Emergency Braking system and new Intelligent Around View Monitor functions.
