Nova Bus has been selected by St. Albert Transit to supply 13 40-foot diesel buses, as part of a fleet renewal and expansion programme in the Edmonton metropolitan area. The order builds on 19 vehicles already delivered, bringing the total number of Nova Bus vehicles in the network since 2025 to 32.

Nova Bus, a Canadian manufacturer of urban transit buses and a member of the Volvo Group, said the order reflects the continued strength of its partnership with St. Albert Transit. The buses are intended to support growing ridership and help modernise public transit service in the Alberta community.

In a statement, Paul Le Houillier, President of Nova Bus, said: “We thank St. Albert Transit for its continued trust in Nova Bus. This new contract reflects the strength of our partnership and our commitment to delivering reliable vehicles that meet the operational needs of public transit systems across Canada.”

Every Nova Bus vehicle is designed and manufactured in Canada, and the company has more than 30 years of experience supplying transit agencies across the country. Nova Bus said its buses are built to operate reliably in Canada’s demanding climate, regardless of propulsion technology.
