Stellantis is adding remote engine start/stop to its standard Connect One plan for 2027 model-year vehicles under its Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Fiat and Alfa Romeo brands in the United States. The update cuts the Connect Wi-Fi Plus subscription by US$2 to US$15.99 per month, with a three-month free trial for buyers who enrol within 30 days of purchase.

Connect One delivers 10 years of connected services as standard, covering remote lock and unlock, over-the-air software updates, monthly vehicle health reports, recall alerts, automatic SOS calls and in-vehicle app access. Remote engine start/stop via the brand’s mobile app is now included for most 2027 model-year vehicles.

The Connect Wi-Fi Plus tier adds an unlimited data hotspot for up to eight devices, alongside stolen vehicle assistance, connected navigation and remote horn and light activation. Buyers of the 2027 Jeep Grand Wagoneer and Wagoneer S receive 10 years of Connect One and three years of Connect Plus at no extra charge, with hotspot access at US$12.99 per month. Alfa Romeo buyers receive the same Connect One and Connect Plus terms, including a three-month or 1GB data trial.

Bundling a decade of standard features while charging for premium tiers, the Stellantis approach mirrors an industry-wide push to extend vehicle revenue beyond the point of sale. Nearly all 2027 vehicles will ship with SiriusXM hardware and a three-month trial subscription, with extended SiriusXM service available as a factory option or added through the FlexCare Sounds programme for up to 75 days after purchase.
