Toyota closing the gap on GM in US market sales
General Motors maintained its US sales lead in Q2 2026, shifting approximately 705,000 units, according to Cox Automotive estimates. However this was a 5.1% drop year-on-year; meanwhile, Toyota sold more than 676,000, gaining 1.5% and bringing its H1 total to within 83,000 of GM's.
