Toyota making subtle changes in production geography

Toyota produced slightly less than 10.9 million cars in 2025, and this total is projected to grow 2% to nearly 11 million in 2026, according to Automotive World's latest production forecast. Asia has the biggest share of Toyota production, accounting for 67% in both 2025 and 2026, and Japan is the largest manufacturing base with almost 4.1 million units, followed by China.
