Trouble in China puts BMW on the back foot
BMW's Q2 2026 results showed year-on-year declines in revenue, EBIT and deliveries, sending the automobile division's operating margin to a 24-month-low of 2.3%. Having issued both an earnings warning and a job cut announcement in quick succession, the company, once a emblem for industry resilience, is now on the back foot.
