Xpeng has unveiled the L03 in Munich across 65 markets simultaneously, the company’s first concurrent Europe-China model debut. Offered in battery-electric and range-extended variants, the AI SUV coupé arrives alongside a Google Maps deal that makes Xpeng the first Asia-Pacific automaker to embed the platform’s Auto software development kit natively.

Designed by former Ferrari exterior design chief JuanMa Lopez, the L03 carries a drag coefficient of 0.228 and a fastback coupé-SUV silhouette. The cabin features a 15.6-inch central display, a wide-field head-up display and lounge-style seating, with 37 storage spaces and a 1,500kg towing capacity. UK pricing has not been confirmed; deliveries begin in 2027.

Intelligent driving centres on Xpeng’s next generation pilot (NGP), the VLA 2.0 iteration of which is built on a physical-world foundation model and planned for European rollout from 2027. The L03 runs three Turing AI chips outputting 2,250 tera operations per second and debuts XOS 6, a cockpit system with contextual, multilingual AI voice capability.

The Google Maps partnership gives L03 drivers native navigation via the Auto SDK without a separate app or phone mirroring. Google Maps’ in-vehicle map data services will also underpin NGP and Xpilot Assist, Xpeng’s entry-level driver assistance system, as both are prepared for international markets.

Beyond vehicles, Xpeng outlined a Physical AI platform spanning humanoid robots and autonomous mobility. IRON, its humanoid robot, is targeted for global markets from 2027, with robotaxi testing under way in China and European partnerships under consideration.
