Yutong T14

Chinese electric bus maker Yutong has launched the T14, a diesel-powered premium coach for the European market, adding to the company’s T-Series lineup. Powered by a DAF MX-13 engine producing 350 kW and 2,500 N•m of torque, the vehicle incorporates ZF air suspension and a Bosch steering system, targeting long-distance passenger and tourism routes across the continent.

The cabin carries a dual-zone climate control system rated at 36,000 kcal cooling and 38,000 kcal heating, ergonomic seating and a 22-inch high-definition front display with 26 speakers. Onboard amenities include a refrigerator, toilet, water dispenser and charging ports, addressing the practical requirements of long-distance routes.

Electronic rear-view mirrors, a low-drag body profile and an electronically controlled air suspension system that adjusts ride height with vehicle speed combine to reduce the drag coefficient by 20%. Yutong’s BlueCore system and electric fans contribute a further fuel saving of 2% to 3%.

The cockpit integrates a 10.25-inch instrument cluster and a 12.8-inch central control screen with 360-degree high-definition monitoring, reducing physical switches by 60%. Adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking and acceleration slip regulation are included as standard, with the Bosch steering system providing a minimum turning diameter of 21 metres.
