Aeva advances with Bendix and Daimler Truck programs
Aeva has reported second-quarter revenue of US$6.1m, up from US$5.5m a year earlier, driven by advances with Bendix and Daimler Truck. Commercial vehicle ADAS leader Bendix selected Aeva’s 4D LiDAR and perception software for its latest ADAS platform for Class 8 trucks, while Aeva also cited milestones with Daimler Truck, a top-10 European OEM and Nvidia DRIVE Hyperion.
GAAP operating loss narrowed slightly to US$34.6m from US$34.9m, while non-GAAP operating loss widened to US$26m from US$25.1m. GAAP net loss per share improved to US$1.23 from US$3.49, and non-GAAP net loss per share narrowed to US$0.41 from US$0.44, on weighted average shares outstanding of 64.7 million.
The company said it strengthened its balance sheet with a US$115m follow-on offering, taking total available liquidity to US$302.9m, comprising US$177.9m in cash and marketable securities and a US$125m available facility. Aeva also launched an Optical Connectivity business for AI data centres, signing its first customer agreement with a hyperscaler, and saw its Eve sensing technology adopted by industrial group SICK, which also named Aeva its 2026 Supplier of the Year.
Aeva said the Bendix win and continued momentum with Daimler Truck and Nvidia underscored steady progress converting automotive design engagements into production programmes. The company continues to post losses while scaling manufacturing to meet demand across its markets.
