Aptiv has announced support for NVIDIA’s Jetson Orin Nano 2 platform, extending a collaboration that already covers the Jetson Thor. The company will offer sensing, compute integration, software, and lifecycle support to help customers move edge AI systems from prototype into production across drones, robotics, and industrial automation applications.

Aptiv’s contribution to the Jetson ecosystem centres on its Pulse surround-view camera and ultrashort-range radar system, its Gen 8 radar for 4D perception, robotics compute solutions running across the Orin Nano 2, Orin NX, and AGX Orin, and Wind River software for long-term maintenance, security monitoring, and compliance. The Jetson Orin Nano 2 delivers 78 TOPS of inference performance at 40% lower power consumption than its predecessor in the same physical footprint.

While the announcement is primarily framed around robotics and industrial edge AI rather than automotive specifically, Aptiv’s broader portfolio spans automotive, commercial vehicle, aerospace, and defence, and its sensing and compute stack shares a common technology lineage across those segments.
