Archion Corporation, the holding company formed from the integration of Hino Motors and Mitsubishi Fuso in April 2026, has launched new medium-duty truck models for the Japanese market. The new Hino Ranger and new Fuso Fighter are the first milestone in the Archion Hino Fuso Integrated Platform Strategy, through which both companies will standardise core vehicle platforms.

The Integrated Platform Strategy will standardise powertrains, chassis, cabs and electronic architectures across Hino and Mitsubishi Fuso products. In the near term, Hino is supplying its existing platform to Mitsubishi Fuso for the medium-duty trucks; Mitsubishi Fuso will in turn supply its existing electric light-duty truck platform to Hino, with production expected within the current fiscal year.

Over the medium to long term, Archion will develop fully integrated platforms combining the technical capabilities of both companies, supported by partnerships with shareholders Daimler Truck and Toyota Motor Corporation. Archion was formed on 1 April 2026 as the holding company for Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation and Hino Motors.

While advancing platform integration, Archion has stated its commitment to preserving and strengthening both the Fuso and Hino brands, which have built customer trust over many years. Mitsubishi Fuso serves customers in approximately 170 countries, while Hino has commercialised Level 4-equivalent autonomous driving in Japan.
