Audi has revealed the Nuvolari, a supercar developed in just 405 days from first sketch to drivable prototype, which the automaker says demonstrates a new pace of vehicle development. An autonomous project team spanning design, vehicle technology, aerodynamics and powertrains worked across multiple European sites, including cold-weather testing in Lapland, lightweight construction in Neckarsulm and high-speed testing in Nardò, Italy.

Gabriel Bortoleto and Nico Hülkenberg, drivers for the Audi Revolut F1 Team, tested the car during development, with Hülkenberg citing a full system output of more than 1,000PS. The Nuvolari made its world premiere in Antibes before its road debut at the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Monaco on 4 June 2026.

Audi said the Nuvolari is the first series-production vehicle to embody its new design language, and the car has already been named “Design of the Year” at the UK-based CAR Genius Awards, whose jury praised its restraint and clarity within the supercar segment. In a statement, Gernot Döllner, Audi Chief Executive Officer, said: “The Nuvolari project is a striking example of how quickly we at Audi can bring an idea to life.” Rouven Mohr, Member of the Board of Management for Technical Development, added that the Nuvolari was the fastest and most powerful road car Audi had ever produced.
