Canada seeks Chinese EV investment with greenfield pitch
Canada's minister for industry, Mélanie Joly, plans to visit three Chinese automakers—BYD, Chery and Geely—on their home soil over the proceeding week. Her aim, building on the government's recent tariff reductions on electric vehicle (EV) imports, is to convince them to establish new greenfield sites in Canada.
