Candera GmbH and Magic Lane have formed a strategic partnership to integrate advanced navigation into human-machine interfaces (HMIs) built with Candera’s CGI Studio platform. The collaboration produces reference implementations spanning motorbike, e-bike, and automotive in-vehicle infotainment segments, targeting original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), Tier 1 suppliers, and device manufacturers.

The reference implementations draw on Magic Lane’s C++ and Android software development kits (SDKs), covering three mobility segments across different hardware classes to give development teams flexibility in evaluating navigation integration. For digital instrument clusters on 2-wheelers, navigation content is streamed to low-power microcontroller hardware; e-bike handlebar clusters on more capable microprocessor platforms run routing and target selection directly on-device.

In the automotive segment, Magic Lane’s navigation is integrated into Candera’s ready-made in-vehicle infotainment solution, providing development teams with a faster starting point for navigation-enabled concepts. The range of execution models, including on-device processing, streamed content, and distributed smartphone-to-cluster architectures, is designed to reflect actual integration scenarios across the mobility market.

For Candera, the deal extends the CGI Studio ecosystem into navigation, an area development teams have previously had to address independently.
