ChargePoint and Mercedes-Benz have extended their long-standing partnership to deliver end-to-end EV charging solutions for fleet operators in the UK and Germany. The expanded offering covers site planning, installation, operation and ongoing service for company car fleets, including passenger cars and light- and medium-duty vans.

Rick Wilmer, chief executive of ChargePoint, said the deepened relationship combines the company’s charging expertise with Mercedes-Benz’s position in premium electric vehicles to deliver a more comprehensive customer experience. He added that the aim is to help business customers lower total cost of ownership through charging infrastructure suited to their operational requirements.

Nico Dettmer, global head of Mercedes-Benz Charging Solutions at Mercedes-Benz AG, said the new workplace charging offering closes a key gap between home and public charging for fleet customers. He said the fully integrated approach should help companies electrify their fleets cost-effectively and accelerate their transition to electric mobility.

ChargePoint’s charging solutions include intelligent load management, automated energy reporting and cost analysis, with optional integration with solar photovoltaic systems and battery energy storage. The companies said the partnership currently spans the UK and Germany, with plans to expand into additional markets later this year.
