Einride has announced the deployment of 500 Tesla Semi trucks across North America in what it describes as the largest Tesla Semi deployment in the world. The Einride Tesla Semi fleet will serve Amazon and other shippers across California, Texas, New Jersey, Illinois and Georgia, tripling Einride’s electric truck fleet.

The trucks will operate on Saga AI, Einride’s fleet intelligence platform, which has powered more than 19 million electric miles and 42,000 optimisation sessions across seven years of operations. The deployment runs across multiple phases over 24 months from September 2026, fully financed with third-party solutions.

Saga AI enables shippers to access electric freight capacity without fleet management burden or capital risk, with each additional truck adding operating data that compounds network efficiency. The 500 Semis support Einride’s path toward a potential US$800 million in annual recurring revenue.

“This deployment is yet another proof point that we can execute at the scale our customers demand,” said Roozbeh Charli, Chief Executive Officer, Einride. Dan Priestley, Director of Semi, Tesla, said electric heavy trucks had lower operating costs than diesel, with savings growing further at deployment scale.

The 500 Semis will convert signed shipper contracts into active freight capacity, giving customers earlier access to longer-range vehicle variants. It adds to what Einride describes as North America’s largest electric freight network.
