Volkswagen's solid Q2 sales performance in Europe and South America was dragged down by a 36.6% year-on-year decline in China, to 424,300 units. Proportionally, it suffered the worst loss of share among the German Big Three, with mounting evidence that its "in China, for China" strategy isn't paying off.
