Hyundai notes “soft” US demand, decline in Europe sales
Hyundai Motor Company's (HMC's) net profit fell 11.1% to KRW 2.9tr in Q2 2026. Although not as severe as Q1, the primary cause of its financial losses shows no sign of abating: the war in the Middle East, which seemed like it might be close to resolution in June, has subsequently reignited in July.
