The Hethel Performance Hub (HPH) in Norfolk has been formally opened by Chris McDonald, Industry Minister, marking a new chapter for the Lotus-anchored engineering, manufacturing and testing site. Charge Holdings is relocating its full operations to the hub, Zenos has signed heads of terms for future vehicle production, and DR Automobiles has been confirmed as a further partner.

The HPH integrates engineering, manufacturing and testing capability within a single site, building on Lotus’s long-established presence at Hethel. Road infrastructure works delivered by South Norfolk Council and Norfolk County Council are unlocking development land for further expansion.

In a statement, Chris McDonald, Industry Minister, said: “The UK is a top investment destination, and the new Hethel Performance Hub underlines our global edge in innovative, high value manufacturing across the automotive and motorsport sector. This facility showcases the best of British industry, will drive stronger supply chains, create highly skilled jobs and help make the UK the best place in the world to design, build and export vehicles.”
