Honda resilient despite last year’s EV-related losses
The 28 July earthquake in Kumamoto, Japan was the first thing Honda addressed in its Q1 2026/27 results presentation, likely because that is where Honda’s core motorcycle factory is located. Nine days of production were lost there, along with six days at the company’s two major car plants at Saitama and Suzuka.
