Honda has launched the Honda Trail Experience app, a free iOS application developed exclusively for owners of the 2026 Passport TrailSport, Pilot TrailSport, and CR-V TrailSport. The app was created by Honda engineers at the North American Automotive Development Center in collaboration with more than 1,500 Passport TrailSport owners.

HTX connects to Honda TrailSport SUVs via Apple CarPlay to log 11 real-time vehicle data points including elevation, pitch, roll, brake pressure, throttle position, speed, engine temperature, tyre angle, and GPS coordinates. Users can select up to six data points to display on the vehicle’s touchscreen simultaneously, with routes and recorded data stored for later review.

The app supports video capture using the iPhone camera and microphone, with data and map overlays that can be exported and shared to social media. Video recording is controlled from the vehicle touchscreen, allowing the phone to be mounted inside or outside the vehicle. Still photo capture is also supported.

Honda says it plans to expand HTX’s feature set with ongoing input from users, and has included a direct feedback channel within the app. An Android version is in development. The app is available now from the Apple App Store at no cost.
