Iran War triggers Chinese e-truck boom in Asian markets
China's exports of electric heavy trucks to South and Southeast Asia have doubled since the US and Israel launched their war on Iran in February, adding to an already-rapid domestic shift that has offered the world’s largest vehicle market a partial shield from surging pump prices. In the four months following the war's start, China's heavy e-truck exports have grown to 16,823 vehicles, with shipments to South Asia up fivefold and those to Southeast Asia almost triple last year's level.
