Jeep has opened European orders for two new Compass variants, completing the compact SUV’s lineup with a 375hp all-wheel-drive 4xe model and a battery electric vehicle (BEV) Long Range version offering a 674km quoted range. Both are built on the Stellantis STLA Medium platform and manufactured at the automaker’s Melfi plant in Italy.

The 4xe uses a dual-motor architecture with a 157kW front motor and 132kW rear motor, drawing on a 96.1kW/h battery that charges from 20 to 80% in 27 minutes. The system delivers 3,100Nm at the rear wheels, enabling the vehicle to climb a 20% gradient with zero front-axle traction.

The BEV Long Range achieves its 674km figure through a 96.3kW/h, 192-cell battery sharing the same 27-minute charge window. Output peaks at 170kW (231hp), with predictive preconditioning supporting extended high-power charging.

Both versions include level-2 autonomous driving and the Jeep Selec-Terrain system as standard, with the 4xe adding a 10mm suspension lift, a 28° approach angle and 480mm water fording depth. The Compass has sold more than 2.5 million units globally since 2006.
