Knorr-Bremse will use IAA Transportation 2026 to unveil the eCompressor, an oil-free electrically driven compressed air system, and preview a redundant braking system and electric power steering scheduled for 2027 commercial launches. The display reflects Knorr-Bremse’s strategy to broaden its system footprint as electrification and automation expand the scope of safety-critical commercial vehicle components.

The eCompressor MTP is a Multi Tumble Piston design capable of running with or without an inverter, addressing compressed air needs in electrified powertrains. The redundant braking system (rGSBC) and electric power steering (EPS), both planned for launch in 2027, target highly automated driving applications.
