KPIT Technologies and Vietnam-based Vietsol have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate on mobility software and engineering services across Southeast Asia. The KPIT Southeast Asia partnership covers Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines, with scope for selected global programmes.

The agreement combines KPIT’s three decades of automotive software expertise and global OEM relationships with Vietsol’s regional engineering talent and delivery capabilities across five Southeast Asian markets. Under the MoU, the two companies will jointly engage customers, pursue market opportunities and deliver engineering programmes for OEMs and mobility players.

Southeast Asia is identified as a growing hub for automotive engineering talent, manufacturing ecosystems and mobility investment, with increasing OEM presence and manufacturing investment across the region. The MoU builds on KPIT’s existing footprint, which includes a recently launched technology centre in Hanoi and university partnerships supporting local talent development.

KPIT President Sachin Tikekar said the collaboration combined global mobility software expertise with regional execution capability to help OEMs accelerate toward cleaner and safer mobility across Southeast Asia. Vietsol Founder Dr Tuan Nguyen said the partnership would allow customers to accelerate development, scale engineering programmes and bring solutions to market faster.
