Maserati has unveiled Project GT4, a GranTurismo-derived track car targeting GT4 competition from 2028, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, alongside the public debut of the updated GranTurismo, GranCabrio and Grecale range. The appearance also marks the centenary of the Trident logo, with a dedicated 100 Trident livery carried by the GT4 prototype.

Project GT4 is powered by the 3.0-litre V6 Nettuno engine with Formula 1-derived pre-chamber combustion technology, which has exceeded 700 hp in specific configurations, paired with rear-wheel drive and GT Trofeo-derived suspension with adjustable dampers. The car is approximately 400 kg lighter than the road-going GranTurismo and built to GT4 regulations on 18-inch alloy wheels. The updated GranTurismo and GranCabrio feature revised exteriors and interiors, with the Nettuno V6 producing up to 590 PS and 650 Nm in Trofeo specification and a top speed above 320 km/h, with all-wheel drive standard across the range.

The MCXtrema, MCPURA Cielo and GT2 Stradale are also present in the Supercar Paddock and will run the Goodwood hill climb, with the MCXtrema entered into the Timed Shootout from Friday.

Santo Ficili, Chief Executive of Alfa Romeo and Maserati, described Goodwood as the ideal stage for a brand marking 100 years of both the Trident logo and its racing heritage, and said Project GT4 reinforced Maserati Corse’s role as the company’s development laboratory, with the programme rooted in Modena.
