Mercedes-Benz UK has appointed Pod as its sole home EV charging partner, giving customers access to the Pod Point Solo 3S home charger at an exclusive rate of £749 including standard installation. The Mercedes-Benz Pod arrangement extends existing charging collaboration to a sole-supplier model, covering consultation, payment, installation and ongoing support.

The Pod Point Solo 3S charger is priced at £749 with standard installation for Mercedes-Benz customers, a saving of £250 against the standard rate. Customers opting for instalments pay £27 per month with no upfront fee, saving over £300 across the three-year term, and each installation carries a five-year warranty.

Jason Allbutt, Sales Director, Mercedes-Benz Cars UK, said Pod’s appointment would help provide a convenient charging solution, making the transition to electric mobility easier for customers. Val Geary, Vice President, Partnerships at Pod, said the companies had worked together for a number of years and the sole-supplier role would allow Pod to support more EV customers.

Customers can also access reduced overnight charging rates through the Pod Power by EDF energy tariff and enrol in the Pod Rewards programme. Mercedes-Benz is simultaneously undertaking the biggest product launch programme in its 140-year history, covering the new CLA, GLA, GLB, GLC, C-Class and Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé.
