Mercedes-Benz Vans will present its own stand at IAA Transportation 2026 in Hannover, running 14-20 September in Hall 13, marking the brand’s 130th anniversary as originator of the van segment. Thomas Klein, Head of Mercedes-Benz Vans, will hold a press conference at the show on 14 September at 9am CEST to outline strategy, upcoming developments and latest innovations.

The brand said its exhibition presence would show how 130 years of van heritage combine with new vehicles, customer-focused services and integrated digital offerings to support commercial customers in daily operations. Mercedes-Benz traces its van lineage to Carl Benz’s first transporter in 1896, through the Sprinter and Vito to newer Van Architecture models including the electric Mercedes-Benz VLE.

Mercedes-Benz Vans now offers a broad portfolio of electric and conventionally powered models, with customers able to configure vehicles ex-factory or through certified body-builders. The brand said reliability, quality, comfort, connectivity and safety remained central to its offering, alongside a dense network of service centres, financing, Mercedes-Benz Rent and charging solutions supporting the shift to electromobility.

Mercedes-Benz AG, part of Mercedes-Benz Group AG, employs around 164,000 people worldwide and oversees the group’s car and van businesses under Chairman Ola Källenius. The company sold more than 2.1 million cars and vans in 2025 across a production network of about 30 sites on four continents.
