MicroVision’s Perception Platform, a modular lidar system that configures hardware, software and sensor inputs around individual application requirements, will be unveiled at IAA Transportation 2026, Hanover. The platform, which spans automotive, industrial, commercial vehicle and aerial use cases, represents MicroVision’s Lidar 2.0 strategy and makes its formal debut from 15 to 20 September.

The platform gives customers a configurable foundation to mix sensing ranges from short to ultra-long alongside embedded perception software and other sensor types, contrasting with the fixed configurations that have dominated earlier lidar systems. The portfolio also includes localisation and mapping capabilities and the emerging frequency-modulated continuous-wave sensing technology.

At IAA, MicroVision will demonstrate several reference configurations across automotive, commercial vehicle and autonomous applications. Glen DeVos, Chief Executive Officer of MicroVision, said the debut encompasses more than any individual product: “It’s about bringing the breadth of MicroVision’s technology together and giving customers a flexible foundation for solving increasingly complex perception challenges.”

MicroVision executives will also present at two sessions at the show: on the near-field sensing gap in commercial vehicles on 15 September, and on long-range perception for autonomous commercial vehicles on 16 September. The company is exhibiting at Booth D02, Hall 11.
