Micware has finalised its group reorganisation, effective 1 September 2026, restructuring three subsidiaries around two distinct software platform businesses. The headline change renames Micware Navigations as Micware Spacia, a new entity focused on the group’s location-based services and an AI-driven spatial data platform called DynaPlanet.

Under the restructure, Micware Spacia will consolidate the group’s location-based service businesses, while Micware Automotive and Micware Mobility will jointly develop micAuto-PF, the group’s software-defined vehicle (SDV) platform. The SDV platform covers in-vehicle infotainment, advanced driver assistance systems and connected services, with the split structured to allow each business to operate independently.

DynaPlanet, the spatial information platform assigned to Micware Spacia, is designed to enable AI and digital services to interpret and act on real-world data collected from the physical environment. Its commercial development represents a significant pivot from Micware Navigations’ navigation-focused roots toward a broader spatial data services business.

Masahide Shigeno has been appointed Representative Director, President and Chief Executive of Micware Spacia, with Kenta Imaida appointed Representative Director and Chief Technology Officer at Micware Automotive. Micware framed the restructure as the beginning of an effort to build management structures suited to each business domain.
