Mobileye REM to power hands-free driving in Stellantis

Mobileye has agreed to supply its Cloud-Enhanced advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) technology to select Stellantis vehicles from 2027, integrating the firm’s Road Experience Management (REM) crowdsourced intelligence platform to enable hands-free, eyes-on driving in designated conditions. REM data currently covers more than 95% of public roads in the United States and Europe.

Five of the world’s ten largest automakers now contribute data to REM, which last year collected data from over 8 million vehicles covering 34 billion miles. Using the front-facing camera in EyeQ-equipped vehicles, the system gathers anonymised data on road features such as lane markings, crosswalk locations and typical driving paths.

With REM enabled through Cloud-Enhanced ADAS, the technology supports features including intelligent lane keeping on unmarked roads and hands-free, eyes-on driving in designated areas. The first planned applications are expected in select US models in 2027, with further integration to follow depending on vehicle platform and configuration.

REM coverage spans highway to urban environments across the US and Europe, with growing presence in Asia, North America and South America. Stellantis joins a growing group of major automakers integrating the technology, with Mobileye positioning REM as a scalable foundation for both ADAS and future autonomous vehicle deployments.
