Daimler Truck AG, Lambert Defence and Soframe have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) establishing a framework to cooperate on the Belgian Defence Tactical Logistic Trucks Programme (TLTP) tender, which aims to renew and expand the logistics vehicle fleet of the Belgian Armed Forces. The partnership builds on previous joint projects delivered for the Belgian Armed Forces.

Under the MoU, Daimler Truck AG contributes military vehicle platforms and global industrial capability, while Soframe provides protected cab design and manufacturing expertise including a cabin already approved for Belgian Armed Forces use. Lambert Defence will lead vehicle integration in Belgium, drawing on its local industrial presence, defence market knowledge and lifecycle support capabilities.

A key objective of the partnership is to maximise Belgian industrial participation, with vehicle integration, local manufacturing and assembly of the armoured cab, chassis and bodywork, together with support and lifecycle activities, all intended to be performed in Belgium. The approach is designed to generate local employment, skills development and long-term economic benefits while strengthening Belgium’s national defence industrial base.

The MoU marks a preparatory step towards a joint response to the TLTP procurement and reflects all three partners’ stated commitment to European defence cooperation and industrial resilience. The consortium will next define the proposed solution and prepare a coordinated bid for the forthcoming procurement process.
