Nissan has launched the all-new Elgrand in Japan, pricing the premium minivan from JP¥6,897,000 (US$42,760) to JP¥7,579,000 (US$46,990) across two grades. Both are equipped with the third-generation e-POWER hybrid system and enhanced e-4ORCE electric-drive all-wheel control, underpinning what Nissan positions as a grand touring character for Japan’s prestige minivan segment.

The third-generation e-POWER unit pairs a dedicated power-generation engine with a 5-in-1 electric powertrain module integrating motor, generator, inverter, reducer and increaser. Intelligent Dynamic Suspension adjusts damping at each wheel in real time. Advanced Active Noise Control, described by Nissan as a world first, simultaneously reduces both engine and road noise.

The interior features 14.3-inch integrated displays, a Bose 22-speaker audio system, zero gravity seating across all three rows and three 100V AC outlets rated at 1,500W. Design follows the “Timeless Japanese Futurism” philosophy, with the front grille drawing on Kumiko, a traditional Japanese woodworking technique.

ProPILOT driver assistance is standard, with the G e-4ORCE adding hands-off traffic jam capability and lane change support. Google built-in supports Maps, Assistant and Play across both grades.

At JP¥7.58m at its ceiling, the Elgrand competes in a segment where cabin quality, ride isolation and technology have become the primary purchase criteria. The model was first shown at the Japan Mobility Show 2025 and goes on sale immediately.
