Nissan’s Qashqai has surpassed four million European sales across two decades and three generations, with the automaker marking the milestone with a technology video series from its Nissan Technical Centre Europe engineers. Titled “Wait, My Qashqai Does What…?”, the series covers driver assistance personalisation, parking systems and the e-POWER hybrid powertrain.

The Qashqai has accumulated more than 110 international awards across its lifespan, including 20 Car of the Year titles in different markets. e-POWER, the hybrid system in which a petrol engine generates electricity while an electric motor alone drives the wheels, returns a range of more than 1,200 km on a single tank at 4.3 litres per 100 km under official test conditions.

Nissan Technical Centre Europe (NTCE), with facilities in Cranfield and Barcelona, developed the series with engineers involved in the model’s design and testing. Episodes address driver assistance personalisation, parking manoeuvres, luggage area flexibility and use of the Nissan Intelligent Key, features the company says are frequently underused.

All European Qashqai models are designed at Nissan Design Europe in London, engineered at NTCE and built at the Sunderland plant. Pairing a customer engagement series with the sales milestone reflects a deliberate bid to deepen loyalty within an established European owner base as competition in the electrified SUV segment intensifies.
