Nissan names its new A-segment all-electric city car Pixo
Pixo is the name Nissan has chosen for its forthcoming fully electric A-segment city car for Europe, timed to coincide with World EV Day. The compact model is being built in Europe for the European market, with the full reveal scheduled for 23 September 2026.
The Pixo gives Nissan a presence in Europe’s A-segment and will join the Leaf and Micra in the automaker’s European electric vehicle line-up. The Juke EV is also expected to follow, expanding Nissan’s electric coverage across multiple price points.

Beyond the name, Nissan has disclosed little about Pixo’s technical specification, describing it only as a compact city car designed for modern urban life. The 23 September event is expected to confirm powertrain details, battery range, pricing and positioning within Nissan’s European dealer network.
The Pixo name reveal, made on World EV Day on 9 September, is a naming announcement with technical details withheld until 23 September. For Nissan, adding an A-segment battery-electric model to its European line-up gives it a presence in a high-volume city car segment that has attracted growing competition from Chinese OEMs and established European brands. That event will also provide the first opportunity to assess whether Pixo’s specification meets those competitive benchmarks.
