Forvia Hella will show two energy management concepts for commercial vehicles for the first time at IAA Transportation 2026, Hanover: the iPDM and EnergyCore. The iPDM delivers fail-operational power through electronic fuses, keeping safety-critical systems running even under fault conditions.

Within the vehicle’s electrical network, the iPDM maintains power to braking, steering and driving aids even when electrical faults arise, by isolating problem circuits before they cascade. The reversible eFuses at its core process power 10,000 times more rapidly than a conventional fuse, requiring no maintenance and enabling lighter, more compact wiring harness designs.

EnergyCore combines power and battery electronics in a configurable, modular architecture spanning low-voltage to high-voltage applications, including battery management up to ASIL D. The Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), in 12 V and 24 V variants, exceeded 20 million deliveries in 2025; the DC/DC converter, in series production since that year, achieves peak efficiency above 96%.

The portfolio reflects Forvia Hella’s position addressing electrification, zonal architecture and software-defined vehicle trends, with the iPDM already in automotive series production since mid-2025. The company’s stand at Hall 12, Stand 36 will also mark the first public presentation of its five-business-group commercial vehicle strategy.
