Peterbilt Motors Company has expanded its cooperative purchasing agreement with Sourcewell and its Canadian partner, Canoe Procurement Group, to include its battery-electric vehicle lineup. The agreement offers simplified procurement of Peterbilt trucks for government, education, nonprofit and tribal organisations across the United States and Canada.

The contract, extended through July 2028, gives Sourcewell’s more than 50,000 member organisations access to competitively solicited contracts with pre-negotiated pricing and terms. It spans Peterbilt’s full lineup of Class 5 through Class 8 vehicles, including on-highway, vocational, medium-duty and electric configurations.

In a statement, Erik Johnson, assistant general manager of sales and marketing at Peterbilt, said: ‘Our long-standing relationship with Sourcewell reflects Peterbilt’s commitment to delivering solutions tailored to the unique needs of public fleets.’ He added that adding electric vehicles to the contract, while also eliminating lengthy bidding processes, would help organisations maximise uptime and invest resources where they matter most.

Sourcewell also saves member organisations time and resources while ensuring full procurement compliance, in addition to simplifying the bidding process. Membership is free for eligible entities, with no fees or purchase obligations, and authorised Peterbilt dealers across North America sell directly under the contract, providing local service and support.
