Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has signed an agreement to acquire 100% of MHP, Porsche’s management and IT consulting subsidiary, in the TCS MHP acquisition pending regulatory and antitrust approvals. MHP will retain its brand identity and operate as an independent consulting firm within TCS, while Porsche maintains its existing collaboration with MHP.

MHP brings more than three decades of experience in automotive, manufacturing, defence, aerospace, public sector and other industrial sectors, covering digital advisory, system integration, SAP and cloud transformation and business applications. TCS adds global engineering and technology capabilities, AI expertise and an extensive international presence.

For Porsche, the transaction is part of its strategic focus on its core business following years of investing in MHP as a consulting subsidiary. TCS and MHP will establish a dedicated AI Mobility Centre of Excellence covering manufacturing, engineering, operations and customer experience, with TCS supporting Porsche’s digital transformation in artificial intelligence.

TCS Chief Executive K Krithivasan said the combination would industrialise AI at scale for Porsche. Porsche Chairman Dr Michael Leiters said the transaction strengthened TCS as a strategic technology partner and would increase the brand’s competitiveness in a software-driven world of mobility.
