JLR delays electric Defender as US focus tightens
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) will delay releasing the all-electric Defender from 2028/29 until the early 2030s, according to anonymous sources cited in a 22 August article by The Times. This may be part of a cost-cutting drive at the luxury automaker, following last year's cyber attack which considerably bruised its FY2026 financials.
