PTI takes Tesla Semi Long Range into dedicated Chicago trial
Paper Transport has announced a partnership with Tesla to evaluate the Tesla Semi Long Range in dedicated trucking operations within the Chicago market. The trial adds battery-electric to a sustainable transport portfolio that already includes renewable natural gas and intermodal, and is intended to give customers additional options for reducing Scope 3 emissions.
The evaluation is being conducted within PTI’s dedicated operating model, where predictable routes and consistent mileage provide a controlled environment for assessing battery-electric performance. The company has accumulated more than 87 million miles using compressed and renewable natural gas across a 15-year sustainability programme.
